Our Health & Safety Policy

At LD Sussex Decoration, health and safety isn't a box-ticking exercise, it's how we plan and deliver every project. Whether we're repainting a single room in an Eastbourne family home or working at height on a commercial building, every job starts with proper planning, a written risk assessment, and a fully qualified team.

I. Qualifications and training

We run regular safety training updates so our practices stay aligned with current legislation and site standards. Full copies of our certifications are available on request. Operators using cherry pickers or access platforms are IPAF licensed.

II. Risk assessments and method statements

Before work begins on major projects, we complete a comprehensive Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS). This covers:

• Site-specific hazard identification and mitigation planning
• Safe access arrangements, including scaffolding and platformsSite-specific hazard identification and mitigation planning.
  
• Safe handling, storage, and application of all materials

III. Protective equipment and site safety

We take responsibility for the safety of our team, your property, and everyone in and around the work area:

• When needed, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided to and worn by employees
• Warning signage and safety barriers are deployed as required
  
• Work areas are left clean, tidy, and safe at the end of each day
